First Time Central Heating Grants

First-Time Central Heating Grants in Worcestershire

If you are a homeowner in Worcestershire and require a first-time gas central heating system, Eco-Home Network may be able to assist you. Through funding from the ECO scheme, our organisation is working to provide free central heating systems to qualifying households in Worcester, Redditch, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, Great Malvern, Droitwich, Evesham, and Stourport-on-Severn.

Eligibility Criteria

  • No existing heating system or a system without a boiler and no more than one radiator.
  • At least one resident in the property must receive one or more qualifying state benefits.
  • Own your home or private tenants must have permission from the landlord.
  • An existing boiler must be over five years old.
  • The property must have a gas supply.
  • Must receive a combination of government benefits.

Please note that exceptions may apply under the ECO Flex rules, which can be found on the Eligibility form.

Affordable Warmth Scheme

Under the ECO initiative, the Affordable Warmth Scheme offers central heating grants to qualifying households. This scheme aims to reduce fuel poverty and carbon emissions in the UK. By transitioning from off-gas heating sources to gas central heating systems, you can contribute to the UK's goal of achieving net 0% carbon emissions by 2050.

How to Apply

If you meet the eligibility criteria mentioned above, you can apply for the central heating grant today and enjoy the benefits of a free central heating system. Eco-Home Network is working with Worcestershire homeowners to claim ECO 4 grants through the Government's ECO scheme. The availability of the ECO 4 grant depends on your current circumstances, property type, and EPC rating.

In addition to the eligibility criteria mentioned earlier, individuals who claim an eligible benefit, have a low income or are affected by the cold due to an illness may also qualify for the grant. However, please note that the grant is only available for properties with an EPC rating of G, F, or E and a gas meter installed before March 2022. Furthermore, the property must have only one radiator. The grant aims to improve the EPC rating by at least two bands.

Overall, the First Time Central Heating Grants provided by Eco-Home Network offer a great opportunity for Worcestershire households needing a new heating system. By meeting the eligibility criteria and applying for the grant, you can improve your living conditions and contribute to the UK's efforts to reduce carbon emissions.
