Solar panel (PV) grants

Solar Panel Grants in Liverpool

Are you a Liverpool or the wider Merseyside area resident interested in adopting renewable energy for your home? Eco-Home Network, a family-run business with a decade of industry experience, can help you determine if you qualify for solar panel grants and guide you through the process.

Energy Company Obligation 4 (ECO4)

Replacing the ECO3 scheme in April 2022 and set to last until March 2026, the ECO4 scheme has been allocated £4 billion by the UK government. The purpose is to enhance low-income households' Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) ratings and reduce carbon emissions. This scheme allows you to switch out outdated, inefficient heating systems for more eco-friendly options like solar PV panels.

The Eligibility criteria have been broadened thanks to the introduction of Local Authority Flexibility (LA Flex), making it possible for more people to qualify for the ECO4 solar panel grant.

Eligibility Criteria: Who Can Apply?

You could be eligible for the ECO4 scheme if:

  • You are a homeowner, landlord, or private tenant.
  • Your property has an inefficient electric heating system (EPC rating of E, F, or G).
  • You are currently receiving one or more of the Qualifying benefits.

Qualifying benefits

You can be eligible for the ECO4 scheme if you receive any of the following benefits:

If you don't receive any of these benefits but are considered low-income, you might still qualify under the LA Flex Scheme. Under LA Flex, your local council can determine your eligibility based on various factors like income, age, the number of children you have, and total household occupants.
